Last Call!  Our summer Bible reading program officially ends on August 27th

We still have several books that need to be read by then to meet our goal of having someone at St. Peter’s read every book of the Bible this summer.  We still need someone to read the following books:

November “Fall Auction & Holiday Happening” To benefit paying down our mortgage, we are planning another terrific auction event for Saturday, November 6.  It will include both silent and live auctions, with food, drink and merriment.  Please start thinking about what you might like to donate – all kinds of goods, both new & old, and services are accepted.  Auction donation forms are now available in the foyer and Parish Hall.   Please plan on inviting your friends, neighbors and family.  We need lots of help organizing this event and volunteers to help with food, decorations, and donations.  If you would like to volunteer or have ideas to share, please contact Barbara Andreassen (301-330-4485 or bkandreassen@comcast.net).

Air Conditioning Repair Bill

The Vestry agreed to liquidate $4000 from our unrestricted endowment account to cover the cost of needed replacement and repairs to the air conditioning system in the church.  The repairs are complete, and we are seeking gifts to offset the expenditure so we can return funds to the endowment.  As of today we have received approximately $2600.  If you can make an extra gift to help this offer, please send in your gift or include with your weekly offering, with a notation about air conditioning.
